Actress Roseanne Barr is returning to television. But don't expect another Roseanne-like sitcom-- this time, she's showing off the real Roseanne in a reality show. Barr's new Lifetime show, Roseanne's Nuts, premieres tonight at 9 p.m. EDT.
Think you know what to expect from the seasoned actress? Think again. According to a Huffington Post article, "After abandoning Los Angeles, the Emmy award-winning actress has left the mainland for Hawaii, where she's managing a 40-acre macadamia and livestock farm." This sounds like nothing we've ever heard before, so naturally we're excited!
Critics have only screened one episode so far, but from the sounds of it Barr puts a new spin on reality TV. David Wiegand reports in an article for the San Francisco Chronicle that the actress doesn't even pretend to be unaware of the fourth wall. "In fact, at one point, after a Roseanne rant about how blissful it is to be thousands of miles away from everybody, [Roseanne's boyfriend] Argent not only points out that she's surrounded by a camera crew, but one of the cinematographers actually pulls back to prove the point," said Wiegand.
