As many of you know, I am a fan of the great Stephen Colbert. As you can tell from my previous entries, I enjoy his late night show and satirical approach to the political landscape. He has this power about him to assemble the masses to do his bidding. In doing so, he has accomplished many feats, and has won my heart. Aside from winning countless TV awards, he was able to get a bridge in Hungary and a bald eagle named after him. He was even able to get a part of the international space station named after him, create a Super PAC, and was able to influence the Republican primaries. Does his power (and ego) know any bounds?

Apparently not, because during his show last night, Colbert announced that he was inducted in to Maxim's 2012 Hot 100 List Of Most Beautiful Women. That's right folks; Colbert won a spot on a list designated only for women. Beating out the likes of Christina Hendricks, as well as other famous gorgeous female celebrities like Nicki Minaj, Kat Dennings, and Sofia Vergara, Stephen Colbert made it in at the very sexy spot of #69. This was the first time Maxim magazine allowed its viewers to pick the winners, and boy did the people let their choices be heard. He didn't even have to bribe his people with swag like promotional t-shirts. Below is an excerpt from the magazine:

Democracy isn’t always pretty: Sometimes it’s downright handsome. With a massive write-in vote campaign, the Colbert Nation proved they’re not only loyal but also incredibly (randy).

(edited for the work environment, but you can use your imagination.)

Oh to wield the power that Colbert possesses. This suave, silver-tongued, charismatic, god-like man is able to harness the power of the public in a way most people dream of. With only a whisper, his people go forth and do whatever he commands. Just think of the damage... er I mean, good that I can do with it!
