Have you ever watched a show that you know is just absolutely awful but you set your DVR to record it each week anyway? Well, for me that show is Suburgatory. I finally got around to watching to the Mother's Day episode. I found myself wondering if it were the season finale and hoping it were the series finale.
I can't explain it. It's like wound that is terrible to look at but you keep checking it compulsively. Or that sore in your mouth you keep tonguing. I don't think it's because I'm hoping it will get better. I think it's just because I can't help but watch it no matter how bad it is. Although I thoroughly enjoy reminiscing about Clueless as I watch Alicia Silverstone and Jeremy Sisto together. (Remember Cher and Elton?? My how they've aged... Good times.)

One thing I will say this show has going for it (other than bringing back memories) is that it's only 30 minutes. These are the types of shows that are perfect for watching just before going to sleep. They give you something mindless to do to clear your head and are short enough to not keep you up too long. The Middle, Modern Family and New Girl are also appreciated for these qualities. The main difference is: those shows are actually good! So why on earth am I still watching Suburgatory? Any thoughts on the subject?
