Entourage, a wildly popular comedy/drama, has been on the air since 2004, and is now syndicated across the globe. But soon the TV show will be coming to an end; its eighth and final season premiered last Sunday, July 24. However, fans of the show do not have to start saying their good-byes just yet. According to an article by Jill Serjeant for Reuters, the show's creator, Doug Ellin, said the season finale has an open end, perfect for a smooth transition into a movie.

As reported by Serjeant, "I wanted to leave it with an element of, 'We loved hanging with these guys and we are going to miss them.' ... There are no major deaths, no major plot lines," said Ellin. This sentiment was echoed by Mark Wahlberg, the show's executive producer. According to Serjeant's article, Wahlberg says he will finance the film himself if he has to.
Regardless of the series' possible big screen future, the show's cast members expressed bittersweet feelings about the least season of the show. Actor Jeremy Piven who plays Agent Ari Gold said he even asked to hold onto his character's flashy promotional watch as a souvenir, reported Serjeant. For now, Entourage fanatics can enjoy the final season in peace-- they most likely have a movie to look forward to!
