We recently reported on Roseanne Barr's reality show, Roseanne's Nuts, which hit TV screens in July.  But the sitcom star is apparently thirsty for more limelight.

The actress caused a stir when publicly announcing her plan to run for president on NBC's Tonight Show with Jay Leno.  When asked why she planned on running, Barr responded, "'Cause I want to be part of the debates, because I want to represent the tax payer.  In fact, I'm choosing the tax payers as my vice president."

But we have to question Barr's motives.  According to Entertainment Weekly, "Like [Donald] Trump with Celebrity Apprentice, which saw large ratings gains during his flirtation with a presidential run, Barr has a reality show to promote."  The stunt makes sense, too; Barr's reality show ratings are "not that great."

So will we be seeing Barr's face featured on items like the promotional presidents bookcover anytime soon?  Probably not.  But fans of the comedian can hope to see her in a new television show this fall.  According to an Entertainment Weekly article, "20th Century Fox Television confirmed to EW that Barr has a deal in place for a new sitcom called Downwardly Mobile, which she will write and star in."  The show will reportedly be about "a blue-collar family living through hard times."

Clearly, there's more than enough Roseanne to go around!  And, for the record, we're still not-so-secretly hoping that her "Green Tea Party" takes off.  Roseanne Barr for president!
