I discovered a new and exciting feature recently that you probably already know about... on-demand. I don't know why I always thought that was like a pay-per-view thing that costs money, and I figured why would I do that when I can watch the show online?! Well, I was pleasantly surprised to find that there is a ton of stuff that's free to watch. I know, I know - this is probably old news to you, but I was excited.
So I finally caught up (mostly) on the CSIs I missed last season since my full DVR decided to delete them before I had a chance to watch them. I had missed three episodes. Only two were on-demand. How can they leave out the season finale??? Not cool.
I clearly missed something because I read the synopsis online and watched the season premier, but it just doesn't make sense. What could have possibly happened to cause such changes? Catherine was demoted? There is a new supervisor? Nick has no office? I just don't get it. And no thanks to the CBS website, which only shows full episodes from this season.

With Laurence Fishburne joining the cast only to leave a few seasons later and Ted Danson coming on board, I feel like they keep trying to replace Grissom's character - which, let's face it, will never happen. No one can replace Grissom; he was too unique and too interesting, and even though the other CSIs try to replicate his enigmatic character, they just can't succeed. I say, give it up.

Every season since Grissom left, I say I'm going to stop watching CSI, and every season I get sucked in anyway. I'm still on the fence about the new supervisor, so I'll continue to watch for now - at least until I make up my mind about whether or not I'm a fan of him.
