Get ready, world:  Apple may make its grand entrance into the wonderful world of television sets by 2012. Although Apple released its Apple TV in 2007, the reputable brand is apparently looking to unveil its own line of consoles.

According to an article on CNN's Web site authored by Doug Gross, "Technology blog DailyTech on Wednesday was quoting an unnamed 'former Apple executive' who said Apple plans to enter the television display market by the end of the year." Gross reports in his article that Apple's new television display will blow away the competition, including Netflix. Apple's console will incorporate the already existing Apple TV and the extremely popular iTunes, reports Gross.

What Apple will do in the next year will certainly have all of us on the edge of our seats. An Apple TV console could change television as we know it. Stay tuned for more!
